Flare Buster Flare Buster Kit - Extra Long
The FlareBuster is a handy accessory that shields your lens from image-degrading stray light without the need for obnoxiously large lens hoods or shielding the lens with a hat or your hand. It stores in a very compact fashion and can universally shade all but the biggest of telephoto lenses quite effectively.
Included in the kit are three reflectors for bouncing white, gold or silver light onto the subject. This is especially useful for macro photography. Two vignetting shades can be used to cast a small amount of light exactly on the subject as needed. The reticulating arm will hold the shade in any position around the camera as needed, and an included tripod adapter screw will even facilitate putting the shade below the lens if conditions would warrant it.

Sometimes the best things are simple and inexpensive. Flare Buster is both! I used one with my 4"x5" and purchased a new one with the Hot Shoe Mount for my Cambo Wide DS. I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. Now that I have it, I can't imagine taking it off!

I bought this as a shade for a Canon 17mm TS-E (which can't take a hood) and it is pretty close to perfect. I wish it had a metal mount for the flash shoe, but other than that, it is exactly what I needed!

I have used it in outdoor macro photography, primarily to reduce lens flare. It has a simple compression clip that could hold nearly any light weight object (filter, gel, reflector, etc.)
Simple to install (hot shoe), easily positioned.
This is one of those little items that's great to have in your camera kit.

Use this with sun to avoid flares but also with reflectors for macro shots that need more light Great utility gadget. Very easily attached and utilized with all its' various attachments and handy hints for other uses. Haven't tried them all and am already impressed. Does take some extra space to have available when out shooting but worth it !
