The Dalite 60 x 80" Picture King Tripod Front Projection Screen is an industry standard in the world of tripod screens. This rugged and timeless screen is meant to be stored in an A/V closet, in your basement, hall closet or attic. It's the kind of screen that gets dragged out once or twice a year at family gatherings - or that gets daily or weekly usage at your place of business for seminars. In either case, it's a reliable screen made from aluminum and steel which offers a wide stance for maximum stability.
The screen is height adjustable as is the high-low case mechanism. In addition, there is a fabric lock which holds the screen surface firmly inside the casing during transport. This prevents shifting of the screen which may cause premature wear and tear.
The Black Carpeted version of the Picture King features a soft wrapping on the case which prevents "dings" and helps protect the casing from external damage.

Comments about Da-Lite 40138 Picture King Portable Tripod Front Projection Screen (60 x 80"):
I ordered this product because of a friend's recommendation. It's a great size screen for photo montages for special events.
The day I got it, I tried to set it up myself and found it was heavy but manageable, but it would have been easier to set up if I had another person with me.
I like how everything locks into place when you set up and put it away. It folds up nicely and I can easily store it away til the next event.
I also purchased the Da-Lite 40943 84" Tripod Screen Case which works well since there is a slot made for the handle of the tripod to stick out of so you can cary the screen when transporting it to and from.

Very large screen. Since it's so big, it's not as portale as I had hoped.

Comments about Da-Lite 40138 Picture King Portable Tripod Front Projection Screen (60 x 80"):
We use the screen video presentations in my wife's dance recitals. It is placed center stage-about 8 feet back in a typical college auditorium & we used our Epson EX71 Projector. House lights are turned off & the stage is completely dark.
The picture is bright & clear with good color rendition (probably a cooperative result of the screen & projector). Handling is good, especially the carry handle which seams to be at the balance point. Height is easily adjusted & secured.
It folds efficiently for storage & isn't so large as to be a burden with transport.
The only tricky part of using it is with the tripod legs that are a bit finicky with extension & retraction. But, I can't think of a better design & am glad to have one neat package for our purposes.
Overall, we are pleased with the screen & figure it'll last many years showcasing sparkling little darlings for their families & friends. I know we certainly get a lot of rave reviews for the videos.
