The Kenko KVC-300 Hi telephoto converter brings everything closer. The 3X Telephoto extends the focal length of camcorder or digital camera lenses 3.0 times, bringing things three times as close, throughout the zoom range. This moderate converter allows you to triple the optical range of your camera, and keeps you out of the digital telephoto range where pictures begin to lose resolution and pixelate. Its light weight and small size make this a valuable accessory for added versatility.

        Comments about Kenko KUT-300 Hi 37, 46, 49, 52mm - 3x Telephoto Converter Lens:

This 3x telephoto was to be used with my HD videocamera for bird photography. Out of the box, the lens looked very good. However, the field of sharp focus did not cover the entire field of view. In fact, there must have been a manufacturing defect which caused the field of view to drift left and right as the focus was changed. Can you rate "0" stars?

        Comments about Kenko KUT-300 Hi 37, 46, 49, 52mm - 3x Telephoto Converter Lens:

I shoot a lot of video of birds. It is hard to get too much telephoto. 3x is nice! I have a 12x Canon HG21 and Sony SR-11. BUT this 3x dose NOT work on my camcorders. The lens cannot focus.

I have tried the ToKina 3x AF HIGH DEFINITION DIGITAL TELEPHOTO LENS on these same camcorders and it is not usable either. They are not able to focus anywhere and a lot of lens flare. The Raynox HDP-7700ES 3.0x is a fantastic lens. I recommend the Raynox lens for anyone needing quality that dos the job... and very well! ... but small size.

The telephoto lens does not have a thread to attach filters. The lens came with plastic ring attachments. The telephoto lens would come off from the ring all the time. Is not all bad. The lens if great for still images. I used the lens on a JVC HD7 for surveillance. Would only use the lens for still images, not video.

          Terrible Quality of Photo

          By Maciek

          from USA, New Jersey

          Comments about Kenko KUT-300 Hi 37, 46, 49, 52mm - 3x Telephoto Converter Lens:

The kit does not come with any ring for 52mm so the spec is probably to tell that it would work with other sizes of thread... but then it would with 30mm, 30.5 mm, 27mm e.t.c. It comes only with 46mm ring and I believe that 62mm is without that ring . I had to purchase step-down ring 52mm-46mm in order to make it work with one of Canon PowerShots (I could have bought step-up, but was not sure whether it was 62mm). Lower zoom values caused a lot of vignetting, but I was expecting this. The purpose of this lens was to use it at highest zoom valueOverall, this lens gives very poor picture. Aberrations are terrible and look like a person had a problem with blurred vision. The sharpness/focus is only at center point and rest is terribly blurred focus. I cannot recommend this lens to anybody. Perhaps a camera with extremely low size of sensor would work better without problems I have experienced.

Problems Encountered: Aberrations, No fit to camera 52mm out of box despite the spec statement.
