These are the best lens case on the market in my opinion. The quality to money ratio is over the top.
I own several of these cases as well as other Lowepro products. I do a lot of outdoor photography, from hiking to events and much more. I have never had a problem with anything I own that has Lowepro on it. The zippers, seams and padding are made to handle the rough outdoors. The #2 case, I have three. The "slip lock" system works great for attaching them to other Lowepro camera bags and the harness system they have. Again, I am giving 5 stars because you can not beat the price vs quality. You big bucks on your glass so why not protect it with a finely made case.

I clicked on this case as an accessory to the Canon 70-200 mm f4 L IS USM zoom.
1. With the lens hood attached to the lens, it is an extremely tight fit. In fact, I think the plastic hood will soon break if I persist....
2. With the lens hood removed, the lens fits nicely in the bag, nice and snug.
But carrying / storing the hood separately from the lens itself is very awkward. Not really sure I've achieved what I wanted....perhaps B&H should indicate clearly the fit is better with the hood removed?

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
I'm a professional journalist, and have two Lowe Pro cam bags, one large with a laptop pouch, the other a Slingshot 100. I bought the Lens Case 2 to carry my 300 mm lens. It's construction appears to exceed mil specs, and can be attached either by the Belt Velcro tab or the "backpack" style gussets. In short, I can move it to either bag in a matter of seconds, and when I don't need the lens, it's a great insulated container for water or drinks. It's a true bargain, at most any price.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
I bought this for my tele lens but it is way too big, my error, it hangs down too long from my waist (camera holster) would hold my lens w/ hood and another shorter lens. The quality is great, well padded I will find another use for it. Bought the next size smaller that I didn't see whenI order this one

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
Products from Lowepro usualy are great, and this one is too.
Well padded and easy to get lense in and out of.
I use it for my 70-300mm lens, and there is even a little bit more room.

I use this for carrying a LP160 flash. Has a mesh pocket under the top flap for things like lens caps or filters.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
This is a great, affordable lens case with secure velcro belt fastener. I use it to attach to the side of my Lowepro back pack. While it's not intended to accommodate a lens with tripod mounting ring, I can do so carefully (70-200mm EF f/4).

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
I plan to use this product with a padded accessory belt during event photography and/or events where carrying a large camera bag is unpractical. The case is a bit larger than I anticipated despite the size measurements provided. I am currently planning to use it to carry/protect a Canon 70-210 f/4 lens and it is a bit large for this lens. However, it does have extra space to carry a lens hood as well, which is nice. Also, this case will be good in the future should I get a larger lens. It is well-padded and the velcro attachment is very strong. It fits well into my padded belt and is very secure.

Great addition to my camera bag. The case is well padded, I carry a nikor 70-300 lens with hood reversed and it fits perfect.

The lens case works great. It is a little tall for my bag, but that is not the lens case fault.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 2:
The case interior is soft and offers more padding protection than the bag that Canon supplies. However since the sizes are generic, there likely will be room for your lens to rattle around inside. The top and bottom are quite rigid for a solid overall feel (can be placed in a bag with other gear without fear of crushing). The strap on the outside has incredibly strong velcro and hasn't shown a weakness in hold after attaching and removing the case from a carrying strap many times.

I carry a Cannon 70-200 f/4 lens in this case strapped to the side of my Lowepro Slingshot 102 pack. The case attaches securely and snug against the pack. The setup is not particularly awkward even when I'm fully loaded with three lenses.
