I bought the case for a Canon 70-200 f/4 lens, which I store with hood reversed and tripod mount attached. In this configuration, the fit is quite good, however the case size would be excessive for the lens alone.
The padding is thick and makes the case rather bulky, but effective in protecting the lens. Too bad that the case hasn't D-rings for a shoulder strap (only a couple of small fabric eyelets, not excessively useful), so the only options are to carry it on a belt or attached to another bag.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
Great addition to the collection. Has all the same features as the other Lowepro lens cases. Just make sure to double check the length of your lens as it may fit in a smaller case. I should have checked the dimensions before purchasing for my 75-250. But with the addition of the lens hood, it is still longer than needed.

I use this case to carry my 55-300mm lens and it fits great. I attach it to my belt and it is very secure with the velcro attachment.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
This lens case is exactly what I needed for a 70-200mm lense and hood.
The case is sturdy, well padded and has a strong velcro-attached strap that fits over a belt or a camera sling strap and fastens securely.
I have not found any negatives with this product.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
I use this case for my Canon 70-200 F4 with hood and tripod ring on. Fits with a little room to spare. (I have to reverse my hood to stow it). Should be roomy enough for its bigger cousin, the 70-200 f2.8.
Very nicely padded and excellent belt strap. The strap is very strong velcro, and once you put it on your belt, it stays there.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
I actually mostly use this to expand the storage area of my Lowerpro Toploader Zoom 55 AW (as opposed to loading a large zoom lens). I have a Canon 60D with 18-200mm and 50mm lenses, and assorted accessories. This lens case attaches tightly to the side of the bag and allows me to bring more gear while maintaining easy access.

Much better than the case that came with the lens!! Sigma 120-400mm. Very good protection and nice snug fit.
Only problem was the straps that came with the case are too short.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
Overall the case is exactly what you would expect from Lowepro. It is extremely well made with great fit and finish. I ordered the case to use with my Canon 70-200 lens which will fit into the case but with the hood on the lens in an inverted position makes it hard to get the lens in and out of the case. I decided to continue to use the original Canon case until I could find a case that was a tad bit larger. I decided not to return the case to B&H and will use it for a different lens.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
Fits the Canon or Nikon f/2.8 with hood reversed and collar attached. With Collar it is a bit tight, without it is a perfect match. Either way it protects your gear more than needed. Nice padded strong design. Attachable to the side of my backpack for faster access or on S&F belt for hiking. Great accessory.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
I bought this case to house my Nikkor 70-300mm VRII. It fits perfectly with the lens hood on backwards. I recently acquired an old Nikkor 300mm F4 AF-ED and that lens fits...just barely into this case.
The case is solidly built with good padding and a nice zipper. The belt attachment is very solid with double velcro and attaches securely to my Lowepro slingshot bag.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
I can't imagine keeping my lens in anything else. As much as I pay for my equipment, I want to be assured it is being stored the best possible way when not being used. The Lens Case 3 holds my Canon 70-200 F4 IS with hood reversed perfectly. I won't settle for anything less than these cases by Lowepro.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
I love these cases. I have several of them, different sizes for different lenses. I store my lenses even away from everyday usage. Keeps all dust out and very nice safe padding. These cases are eazy to strap on cases, belts and stuff with the attatched velcro thingy.
I even threw away the case that came with my 75-200 f2.8 lens.
I liked this one so much better.

Comments about Lowepro Lens Case 3:
This lens case is designed for large telephoto/zoom lenses. Make sure you measure your lens accordingly before purchasing as it is almost too large for my 70-300 zoom lens. The next smaller size from Lowepro is too small.
