The Ilford XP2 Super is a sharp, fast, fine grain black-and-white film. It can be used for any photographic subject, but ensures excellent results when there is a wide subject brightness range. XP2 Super has improved exposure latitude compared with XP2, and gives exceptionally sharp, crisp prints. Not Trustworthy - Bad Manufacturing
Had numerous rolls come out scratched, regardless of camera or lab that was used. scratches were very straight and uniform, ran the entire length of roll, ruined everything.

i used to love this film. C41 convenience, snappy negs, scanned well. I just cant trust Ilford again though, especially since there are lots of good alternatives.

Comments about Ilford XP-2 Super 120 Black & White (Chromogenic C-41) Print Film (ISO-400):
After a shoot this past weekend in an abandoned building with only available light, I remembered how much I love this film. The exposure latitude is great and being able to use C-41 chemistry is a plus.

Comments about Ilford XP-2 Super 120 Black & White (Chromogenic C-41) Print Film (ISO-400):
When you are shooting with this film, be sure that you are shooting with bright lights, or adequate sunlight. I did nighttime shots, and even shooting with the zone system did not bring a wide tonal range. This, however, is the nature of the film. Just be aware of your lighting when shooting.

I've always sworn by Ilford film, and for my first time using the 120 XP-2, I wasn't disappointed! I only used a plastic Holga, and every shot was crisp and had amazing contrast. My only complaint... they can't make 24 roll 120 film ;-)

Good B&W film especially for those that scan their negatives and use ICE technology. Performs better when rated at EI of 250-320.

Excellent all way around. May be color would not satisfy vigorous purists of B&W phography and not all labs around USA take 120 film C41. But that is indeed a good choice for me.

I used the XP-2 for a commercial still life shoot. All of the negatives turned out great. All the images had a great tonal range when scanned to digital also.
