Bought this for my large diaphragm tube mic to be placed in a small 4 x 5 sound booth. Recommended by BH staff member, strong, durable and heavy which gives it a sturdy feeling. Would have gotten 5 stars if the boom had a small weight for extra support since it does telescope. Overall excellent product and would recommend it for similar users.

Comments about K&M 210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom (Black):
I initially thought buying a mic stand was a simple deal, after all it was just something to hold up a microphone. But after reading reviews i decided to spend a bit more for the K&M stand vs a cheaper competitor. And since finally setting everything up in the small space that i have in my room, let me just say, this is not just a simple stand! The great thing about this is that everything is adjustable, from the height of the stand to the length of the boom, to the angle of the mic, it even comes with clips for managing the cable. And while doing all that it's extremely stable, and i can easily retract the boom and hide it back in the closet. After this purchase it just goes to show why 100 dollar mic stands exist when you can get one for 30, because they are just that much better.

I am a beginning artist with my small home studio. I was looking for a mic stand that worked for my needs. I found this through other reviews to be good. It was just as advised.
I use it in combination with my Blue Bluebird mic and Stedman XL pop filter. It has held up quite well with all the weight at the end of it.
It has so many adjustment points to it that I can place it in every position for instruments and vocalists.

Used for a vocal mic for a touring rock band. My last one was great, and would have lasted forever...too bad it was left behind. Didn't hesistate to buy another. Rock solid gear.

Overall construction is excellent. However, with a large diaphram condenser microphone on boom, one has to excessively tighten the arm locking nut to prevent the arm from slowly sagging. Not enough friction in plates I guess.

Comments about K&M 210/9 Tripod Microphone Stand with Telescoping Boom (Black):
This is a very high quality German-made stand. I like the telescoping boom--slightly shorter than the fixed model, but more compact and less obtrusive when you don't need the extra 3 inches of reach. The clutch on the vertical stand doesn't slip, and the boom won't sag down over time. We're very happy with these. Used for live sound as well as recording.

This stand is very tight and sturdy. No rattle, no stability issues. Easy to take down and set up. Worth every penny.
