I am using this to place a sheet of black foam board between my lamp and my camera to block the light leaking from the back of the lamp. It could also be used with white foam board (and possibly a swivel mount) to bounce light onto the subject. It's exactly what I needed and the only solution I found. I bought two of them with stands for each of my two continuous lights.
