The DB25 is a transformer balanced, passive direct box. It features a ground lift switch for hum elimination, and an attenuator switch for padding the input signal by 20 or 40dB. Padding the input signal provides a way to connect the unit to a line level signal or even a speaker level signal and connecting it to a balanced line level input on a mixer. The two 1/4" inputs are paralleled.

Comments about Rolls DB25 Passive Direct Box:
The DB25 is a great item for those folks with severe ground loop problems. With the adjustments you can clean up your signal with accuracy and clarity. The product is very to connect. You can't hook it up wrong. I've worked at a lot of different venues, this product insures no extraneous noises more than what I am producing. If you have a ground loop, you need this product.

Comments about Rolls DB25 Passive Direct Box:
I have bought two of these boxes after doing a lot of research and reading recommendations from pro audio installers. I use them at my church for taking the audio from our computer for input into our mixer.
The Attenuator nob is very high quality, is not loose so it does not get bumped off setting. It is great for getting the right input level into your mixer.
The box is compact so it does not take a lot of room to store.
Solid reliable jacks.
Very clear sound from it.
