The Nikon SK-7 is a horizontal bracket that has two 1/4"-20 screws; one of them is adjustable. This bracket allows for a flash on an off-camera cord or any other accessories with 1/4"-20 threads to be mounted parallel to the camera. It is extremely rigid and well constructed.

Comments about Nikon Straight Bracket SK-7 for SU-4 Wireless Slave Flash Controller:
Nikon should have a quick release mount for the SB900 but by combining this with a Slik DQ-10 quick release and the Nikon SC-17 or SC-28 cable, a functional combination is possible.

Comments about Nikon Straight Bracket SK-7 for SU-4 Wireless Slave Flash Controller:
This product is awesome... but I did not use it as it is intended. I used it to side mount a point and shoot that I use for recording video. Thuogh I use Canon, this fits perfectly on my DSLR and Canon P&S so I can record HD movie while taking pictures. Your P&S will follow where you aim your camera so it works perfectly.

It works as advertised. Can be used to side-mount a flash on a camera that lacks a hot shoe.
