I hate that the cable was made in Thailand---my B&H microphone was made in the US and I really appreciate that. I wish they would consider the same quality etc to other products too.

So far the cable fits securely into the mic--my old cable ripped while I was taking it out of the mic socket and it would snap and pop.

Let's see how this holds up. I mostly use it outside in the field and sometimes for indoor interviews.

I bought this exact cable nearly five years ago, and it worked like a charm until... it didn't. Perhaps a wire came loose. All I know is that some of my interviews began being interrupted by a cackling and crackling, and sometimes would dip out all-together.

I just bought another, and I'm back to perfect sound.

If you're hearing rattling noises in your recordings and you think it's this cable, but you paid less than $100 for your microphone, it may be your mic. I just got this and with a Shure PG48 ([$]mic) I hear noise, but with a Sennheiser e835 ([$]mic), I don't. That's because more expensive mics have soundproofing inside to reduce handling noise, and cheaper mics don't. Other than that, five feet is a perfect length for interviews with a Zoom. We'll see how it lasts.

I bought this product to use with a Sennheiser ME66/K6 combo connected to a Sony PCM-M10 recorder. While the cable is small, portable, and lightweight, the signal quality is very. very poor. I cannot get a clean recording without the signal cutting out and the sound cracking constantly. The XLR connecting sleeve is very loose on this product, which leads to the cable wobbling around and consequently the signal quality being very poor.

I use this cable with a portable recorder and mic to do interviews for radio pieces. I'm on the move, so an angled cable minimizes the likelihood of damage to the cable as a result of bending during repeated use.

This is a great simple solution if you have a video camera that only has a 1/8" mic jack. This cable is specifically for turning mono into stereo, which applies to almost all microphones. So unless you know you are using a special stereo mic, this is the adapter you want.
The only negatives have yet to surface. I have owned it about a month.
