Comments about Lowel Rifa Balance Bar:
This is one of those accessories that really should be included with the product. I own two Rifas and have used many others. Without this bar, all but the smallest Rifalites are very front heavy and are near the balance point of pulling over the typical lightweight stock Lowell stands. If you are using C-Stands or carrying sandbags, This is not necessary. If you use the Lowell stands and like the lightweight of Rifalite kits. Then this is a must have accessory.

Comments about Lowel Rifa Balance Bar:
This does what it is supposed to do. It greatly improves the balance of the Rifa light when it is on a stand. However, I believe it fixes a design flaw in the Rifa light. I own the Rifa 88 (I love it), and without this, you have to be VERY careful in putting the Rifa on a stand (make sure the leg is under the soft box), and you really should use a heavy sandbag also for safety. Lowel knows this, and hence developed this bracket as a fix. But they should have identified this as a problem and just included it on any new purchases of Rifa lights, and given a cheap purchase option to existing owners IMHO. Unfortunately, if you have a Rifa light, you need this product.

Comments about Lowel Rifa Balance Bar:
This attachment helps to balance the Rifa light on a stand so that the centre of balance is positioned over the centre of the stand. Also increases options for positioning the light.

Comments about Lowel Rifa Balance Bar:
The rifa head would be very unstable on the stand without this attachment. It allows you to angle the head back behind the stand, keeping the weight from being too far forward.
