This 1 foot (30.48 cm) long cable features XLR 3-pin female and stereo, right angeled 1/8" (3.5 mm) mini connections. The cable is specifically wired for use with stereo microphones wired with 3-pin male XLR outputs, such as the Audio-Technica 822. For the price it is great. It could be more heavy duty for durability. I'm using it to run a shotgun mic to a small wireless transmitter. The sound quality is good.

I bought this microphone to connect the AT822 stereo microphone to digital video cameras and a Zoom flash recorder. It has since been used for that purpose and it works well. It's only been a few weeks so I can't comment on longevity, but it looks and feels well-made.

Bought this to hook up to a Sennheiser shotgun mic on my Nikon D7000. It only produces stereo sound if you pull the 3.5mm plug out slightly from the camera. So in otherwords, it has to be loose and almost fall out to work. So not sure if that's the D7000's problem, or this adapter's problem. It does work once you have it in loosely, but that's not really practical.

i use this with a sony hdr-fx1 because its one of the few decent cameras that sony offeres without an xlr input. this product is a great cost efficient way to add on an xlr mic. the construction of adapter is fair, nothing too special, but really do appreciate the right angle trs cable.

I know, I know. Why not get a Beachtek? As a college filmmaker who doesn't have a real source of income, a Beachtek isn't such an easy buy.
But I digress, to fulfill my lack of a Beachtek, I purchased this and to date, it has not disappointed! While it doesn't have the professionalism of Beachtek, you can still attach boom mics, microphones, and shotgun mics directly to the camera, and it performs all the same as a Beachtek. Sometimes, especially if cash isn't flowing as much, this is all you need.
