This Hosa Stereo Mini Angled Male to 3-Pin XLR Female Cable is specifically wired to convert a mono microphone or line level signal to both left/right contacts of a mini 3.5mm (1/8") stereo plug. I use this cable with my Canon Rebel T2i to record interviews mainly. It's great because it has the angled connector which puts less stress on the jack on the camera and is easier to work with because it doesn't stick out. The only thing I could ask for would be for it to have a better XLR connector but the one it has is fine.

Using to connect dynamic mic to Kodak Zi8. Seems clean, angle eliminates some drag on the small jack.

I got this cable to record highest quality from my RODE NTG-2 shotgun microphone to my ZOOM H2 Handy Recorder. Record (almost) like a Pro but on a real budget.

I use the cable when I connect a microphone to our CANON Vixia HF S20 and it works absolutely well for that. The angled plug doesn't make the cable stick out too far and that's perfect when you're using it with a small camera.

Comments about Hosa Technology Stereo Mini Angled Male to 3-Pin XLR Female Cable - 15':
This cable will accept the male end of an XLR cable or connector and convert it to a stereo male 1/8" mini jack with a right angle connector. Great for converting a microphone cable to anything with a mini jack input like a camcorder, computer or other small audio device. The right angle keeps stress off the input device connector and keeps the cable out of the way.

This cable gets the job done. The wire is a bit flimsy near the XLR jack though. I was slightly concerned about pulling it out.

This is a great product for anyone who wants to add a professional microphone to their camcorder. Many adapters run well over $100 but this product is all that you will need! My videos are now noticeably better because the sound is superior. Thanks to B&H for selling this great product!
