Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
I have tried numerous shoulder straps that turned out to to too bulky, uncomfortable and slippery to do the job. The Domke strap is a different animal. The supple canvas conforms to the shape of your shoulder and the parallel bands of imbedded rubber keep the strap in place. I find that most of the fatigue from camera bag totting comes from having to hunch your shoulder to keep the strap in place. Not with this baby. True, it's not padded but it's so comfortable that you may not even miss that particular feature of other, less well-designed straps. Buy it--you'll love it.

Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
Got as a replacement strap for my Domke 5-XC. The strap that came with it was too short for me, being 6'5". Feels as tough as the original.

It's strong and it stays on your shoulder. It's a good alternative for a camera bag.

Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
Used to replace taekwondo/gym bag strap -- the ones that usually come with them are cheapos. This Domke strap has already outlasted one bag, now on it's second and still going strong. I teach classes and carry a lot of gear in a big bag, so I've really stress tested this strap and very happy with the results. A heavy duty strap with metal hardware, I highly recommended it.

Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
This is a very well made strap, but at about 36 inches long at its shortest it is too long to use as a waist strap. I had wanted to hook it to the rings on the side of the Domke f-808 to help distribute the weight a little (which would add about a foot to those 36 inches). So I'm returning this, but if I had needed a shoulder strap, this would be a top notch solution.

Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
I ordered this strap as a replacement for a utility bag. I got tired of the strap slipping off my shoulder. Domke Strap = Problem Solved.
I've also replaced the straps on several of my non-Domke camera bags with these straps.

Comments about Domke FA-140 Gripper Utility Strap (Black):
If you need a 1.5" strap, this is the one to get. I got one of these, now I want one for any bag I use that has a 1-1.5" strap.
MUCH more comfortable than thin nylon straps, and the "gripper" really does work well. Keeps it in place, but if you want to slide the bag it will also let you. Also has strong metal hardware and great adjustment range.
This strap just feels great, get it - you'll LOVE it.
