Nikon SK-E900 Flash Bracket
The Nikon SKE-900 Flash Bracket allows the use of off camera flash with several Nikon Coolpix Digital Cameras.
Though it does not provide true TTL Flash Control, when using the SKE-900 with a compatible Coolpix Digital Camera and Nikon Speedlight Flash, the camera meters the brightness of the subject and adjust the output of the built-in and external flash automatically for the best overall results.
The SKE-900 is also equipped with two synch flash terminals for additional multi-flash effects. If the attached cord is removed, this bracket can be used with any other TTL cable and any other camera, making it a good universal flash bracket as well.

Almost perfect. Definitely the best deal for this cheap. The only problem is that sometimes the flash will cause the bracket to come loose and move. I used this with an SB-700 and a D7000

I went in looking for a bracket to side mount my SB900 to a D90 with batter pack. [...]This gets the job done.While there's a bit of slipping if you don't secure it, it's not an issue unless you have something with the weight of the LightSphere mounted to your flash. It's originally made for an older CoolPix setup but it's a gem in disguise.I see myself using it as a great accessory mount too. Plan on picking up a couple more.

this bracket was designed for something else 10 years ago and is still useful in today's market. forget those expensive heavy fancy bracket, they don't work and is way too heavy if you have to hold your camera for hours for that one shot.

I searched high and low for a left handed bracket that wasnt designed to flip the flash and this meets my expectations. Works great with my Canon 5d Mark II as a left handed flash bracket. I use it for celebrity shots and I wish it was just a bit more longer where the lock is. Of course I realize everything is a compromise.

Several comments on the internet complain about the length of the cord that connects the bracket to the Coolpix 950 flash/viewfinder body. That problem must have been corrected as the cord on this unit is just fine. The 950 is a nine year-old camera that I took out of its dark hiding place for some simple family reunion pics, and I wanted to attach a Nikon Speedlight to get around the on-camera flash. This bracket, although it's only[$], is the key to the adaptation.
