I use this with my EF 50mm f/1.8 Mark I (Metal Mount)lens. It fits the lens perfectly and has a snug fit. It snaps on easily and comes off when you push the two buttons on the side. (not viewable in product picture) This hood does it job well and well built. It reverences easily on the lens for storage
