Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
I'm in final semester of undergrad as a visual arts major with a concentration in photography; I only wish I had discovered and used this film sooner. The color is wonderful and plan to continue using it after graduation.

I use this film to shoot interiors on a view camera. It holds up well with low light and long exposures. Good range of colors. Will definitely use it again.

Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
I use this film when photographic intricate scenes that don't easily change or that I want to capture a lot of detail of.
This film produces gorgeous, high-quality prints.
Along with the nature of most Large Format Films, I would not necessarily recommend this film for action shots or for spontaneous-spirited captures.

Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
This is a terrific film. It has a great range and is very forgiving. It can be used slower or faster than recommended with loss of detail. It scans well and the digital output C-Prints are terrific. It has a great colour range and can be used inside or outdoors without extreme shifts.

Good latitude and slowish film speed to allow for large aperture shooting, this is Kodak's best all around print film for 4x5.

Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
As a fine art and commercial photographer, I've been shooting with this film for almost 7 years. It has been a solid and reliable product through and through. The vivid color is truly saturated, which can sometimes make for challenging printing in the darkroom, especially in regards to the warm tones. If you're looking for a gentler, reliable tonal range for portraits, go for the NC instead. That said, there's nothing out there quite like the 160VC. Depending on your shooting style, lighting, and subject, you can play with the intensity of the saturation to a wide degree and achieve stunning results. Basically, you've got a lot of creative latitude with the 160VC, and it can be very consistent if your shooting methods are consistent, too. Its a bit stronger with reds and yellows than other film brands, and even than the 160NC. Makes very nice digital inkjet prints from high-res scans.

Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
Vivid should be like this. Anything else is make believe. In color negatives atleast. Brilliant skin tones in daylight/shade. Punchy reds, blues and pinks. Everything just pops. Evens out shadows beautifully. Enlarges beautifully with really fine grain.

Comments about Kodak 4x5" Portra 160VC Color Negative (Print) Film (Vivid Color, 10 Sheets):
I'm completely satisfied with this purchase. I wasn't sure whether to get VC or NC film so the 10 sheets was a good place to start. VC is great, not over saturated colors whatsoever but still really vibrant!
