Domke Photogs Vest (Medium, Khaki)
The Domke PhoTOGS Vest (Medium, Khaki) is made from 100% machine washable cotton with cotton mesh panels at yoke and back provide cooling ventilation. The vest is full-cut for comfort and practicality and has 18 pockets in all consisting of cargo pockets, pockets with weather-tight zipper closures, huge back packets, pen/pencil pockets and roomy hand warmer pockets. A removable press Pass/ID holder is included.
The PhoTOGS vest medium fits 40-44 chest size.

If you like taking hikes while taking pictures, this vest is for you. It eliminates the need to carry a bag or backpack on most of my trips. It holds all of my gear, water and a sanwich, and still have room left over. When I have my 70-300 lens hanging from my neck, it bounces when I walk. With the vest, I keep the camera hanging, but slip the big lens down into one of the large front pockets with it still mounted on the camera, and the bounce is eliminated. I love the vented back which helps keep me cool. This vest is made extremely well, looks neat, and distibutes weight so you barely notice it. At 5' 7", the medium fits me nicely. I love it.

Measurements of the vest in the description along with chest measurements it should fit would be helpful. I'm a short (5'2") and busty (44" chest) female, the medium fit me like a dress. Hip pockets so low that I needed to lift the vest so I could use them. The vest I received did not match the pictures, the layout was more like the domke jacket/vest. It looks durable, lightweight and comfortable to wear. It fit my husband well who is a foot taller than me and has a 45" chest.

I used this vest while covering a protest/rally in late August in 90 degree + humid weather; I was pleasantly comfortable and had easy access to my gear for the over four hours of this shoot. Huge number of pockets inside & outside of vest were very useful, and the only very minor glitch here: front lower cargo pockets might be a tad larger. If you're looking for a light but well made vest, look no further.

I purchased this vest to take the place of a back pack because of back problems. This vest spreads the load and is easier on my back. My equipment is 15 lbs plus a tripod which is 5 lbs. The equipment is much easier access. To get a lens our of my back pack, I would have to take it off and lay it down. With the vest I can change a lens while walking.

I use the vest to hike. It makes a great hiking vest, I love all of the pockets, I can take all of the items I need when hiking and don't have to carry a backpack. It is lightweight and very comfortable. The sad thing about the vest is that I bought it in the wrong size, it was to be for my husband as a Christmas gift.

After purchasing several different styles of travel vests not specifically designed for photogs, this one fills the bill--particularly for a safari. I bought a Medium and had the shoulders altered for a woman making it shorter as well and now it's perfect. Won't need to buy another vest for a long time!
