Domke Photogs Vest (Small, Khaki)
The Domke PhoTOGS Vest (Small, Khaki) is made from 100% machine washable cotton with cotton mesh panels at yoke and back provide cooling ventilation. The vest is full-cut for comfort and practicality and has 18 pockets in all consisting of cargo pockets, pockets with weather-tight zipper closures, huge back packets, pen/pencil pockets and roomy hand warmer pockets. A removable press Pass/ID holder is included.

The bottom pockets are huge to stuff a lense or pocket camera with no problems. When packed with my gear it was comfortable walking around compared to a loaded backback.

I was traveling to and within India. In India, some of my flight segments were on ATR turboprop planes, which have a smaller carry-on luggage size than U.S. domestic flights. I wore the jacket in case the airline forced me to check in my camera bag or complained about weight.
The vest has pockets almost everywhere. The zippered pocket was also handy to carry around my passport and money safely.

This vest was the best investment I have made. Due to problems with my back and neck, I needed to find an alternative to a backpack for carrying my photo gear. The Domke vest is the perfect answer. There are more than enough pockets to carry all my gear as well as personal objects. The pockets are a variety of sizes so they adequately can hold items of different sizes - from lenses to memory cards. The weight of my gear is nicely distributed so I am free from back and neck pain. I enjoy traveling and this vest will make photography so much easier.

This vest is functional and durable, with lots of pockets and zipper closures. The pockets are large enough for even a 70-300 lens completely enclosed, along with other needed gear. I can load everything I need for a day of shooting and leave the backpack behind. The weight of my gear is more evenly distributed and makes for a comfortable day of shooting. The fit is great for a woman's body. It isn't boxey or bulky and allows free movement while trekking on location.

This vest is awesome. Allows me to be organized without the burden & inconvenience of a large backpack. I just returned from a photo trip in the Sierras where we did a substantial amount of hiking and the jacket proved to be an excellent advantage. I carried lenses, filters, batteries, etc. plus water and snacks with ease. I like the padded shoulders as well.

I got this vest to get better and quicker access to lenses and accessories, as well as not advertise that I am carrying a camera and equipment. There is room for my Leica IIIf to fit into a lower pocket with its 50 Summarit lens mounted. The pockets are also large enough to hold the Leica with a wide angle lens and universal viewfinder attached. The handwarmer pockets are handy for light meters and stowing lens caps, and the D-ring at the shoulder provides a nice attachment point for the meter so it needn't be hung around the neck. The large pockets in the rear are useful for stowing a notebook and half size gray card. The mesh at the shoulders and in the back keep the vest from becoming overly warm despite the sturdiness of the cotton fabric. The two way zipper allows for unzipping from the bottom, keeping the vest from binding or interfering with movement when crouching to get the photo.
