The Gel Snap is Lee's easy and affordable filter holder. Simply insert your 4 x 4" filter, snap it shut, and "snap" it on to any lens 82mm or smaller using the included "Elastomeric Tension Device", also known as an "E.T.D.", i.e, rubber band.

snap is very hard to open and shut and the filter cannot be raised and lowered, so your stuck with the grad ND being always at one place in the composition....just poorly thought out, as it wouldn't have been much harder to make this so that the filters slide in from above and have some tension to hold them in place. Also the filters slide from side to side inside the holder, falling off to one side of the lens, so using it on diagonal is difficult.
It was cheap, so I knew it wouldn't be a pro grade product, but still...it's like it was designed by someone who has never used a camera.

I used this filter holder as a lighter weight option when backpacking in the porcupine mountains. It was nice to not carry more than I needed and was affordable to replace if broken. the rubber band seems very heavy duty and the snap effect on the holder seems like it will last many snap opens and close. great cost effective option.
