I just made a test with 4x5 film to check out how these filters work and sure enough they work well as expected. The only thing is that of course the filters are polyester so they're prone to scratching much easier but they'll get the job done for good b&w shots.

I recently decided to do more work in black and white. To produce the best results, I wanted a good set of b&w filters. The Lee gel filters do a good job of filtering the light in the four most useful filter colors. I especially like the ease with which I can add or change filters using their gel snap holder.

This product is really usefull for large format b&w photography. As you know, color correction is essential to all serious panchromatic traditionnal photography.

The filters are well made, the compensation is exact and the snap mounting effective.

However, it can be prone to scratch and a filter wallet would have been a nice addition

A cheap way to get started using filters for your b/w photography. You won't be needing expensive adapters, just snap it on! It's lightweigt too.
