I keep an extra in bulb in my camera bag in case it blows due to age or I drop the light and break it. The light itself is fantastic and has a long life. At such an insignificant cost you are playing with fire if you are depending on the light as I have needed to do from time to time.

The brightness of the bulb is way better than the 10W SONY video light. On the other hand, the SONY one's have lasted for over 2 years using them once a week and this bulb used with the CANON video light lasted less than a year when it stopped working. It's kind of expensive as well.

That much for a tiny little bulb! Well, it wouldn't have needed replacement had I not dropped the Canon VL-10Li II that it goes in. The light with its bulb had lasted for over 5 years. If the new last anywhere near that long, it will still be a deal.

These little bulbs do the trick when not a ton of light is needed for your small cam. What I like best is that they last a long time and seem durable after numerous drops. The only drawback is that when they finally go, replacements aren't cheap.
