In today's digital world the classic tube sound is experiencing a renaissance. In reaction to this demand, Behringer has integrated a 12AX7 vacuum tube into the Behringer ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 2-Channel Tube Microphone Preamplifier/Line Driver/DI Box.
The low-noise 2-channel microphone/line preamp provides detail, and lends the warm tube sound to instrumental and vocal recordings.
The unit also offers a high pass filter, with a sweepable range from 15 to 320 Hz, useful for removing rumble and low frequency handling noise, and a parametric EQ with adjustable center frequency, bandwidth and amplitude. Frequency switching allows the user to sweep the entire frequency range from 10Hz to 20kHz. The ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 can also function as DI box, converting unbalanced instrument signals into clean, balanced signals.
In addition to providing a soft mute function for the +48V phantom power, the ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 provides excellent service when a need occurs to convert home-recording levels, -10 dBV, to +4 dBu level, for interfacing into professional environments.

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 2-Channel Tube Microphone Preamplifier/Line Driver/DI Box:
I use this preamp to add a touch tube warmth to my DAW. I really like the new hybrid type of gear that is coming out lately. It is the best of both worlds. For instance, the clarity of transistors and the warmth from even harmonics of vacuum tubes. The Utragain Pro 2200 is a nice affordable way incorporate this into any rig. I also really like the versatility of this box. It can act as a transition between two pieces of gear that op at different signal levels.

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 2-Channel Tube Microphone Preamplifier/Line Driver/DI Box:
For any guitatist seeking headphone ready tone, I have 2 Ultra G's (stereo) This is the PERFECT MATCH!!! The phantom power drives both of them, and puts the tube in the mix as well, OH YEAH!!! The mic inputs (XLR) and line inputs (TRS) are wired separately (swithchable ((per channel))) there is only phantom power available through the mic input, as well as input gain, which isn't needed as you can control the input gain with the component that you would be running through it, (think stereo) (volume) The outputs are wired parallel (left and right are wired seperate) so when my rig isn't fired up, I swithch it to line and run my laptop signal through it for complete audio bliss!!! I dont even use any of the "tweekables", this thing is a Jewel!!! Get one while they're still in production!!! Unbelievable!!!

Comments about Behringer ULTRAGAIN PRO MIC2200 2-Channel Tube Microphone Preamplifier/Line Driver/DI Box:
I use the MIC2200 in a home theater environment to provide a consumer (Onkyo AVR) to pro (Behringer EP2500) interface. The EP2500 powers my subwoofer (2 - 15" TC-1000's in a sealed enclosure). It does a great job providing signal boost (if needed) and simple eq, and is a wide frequency response / low distortion unit. If you are running a single channel subwoofer (most do) you can route channel 1 output to channel 2 input (or vice-versa) to provide two separate eq bands. Has a defeatable hpf if you are using a vented or passive radiator enclosure (a must-have). Has a wide range of control over the frequency spectrum for various eq needs. Controls are detented and have a quality feel, absolutely no complaints for this price, simplicity at its finest.
