Comments about Edwal Sodium Sulfite (Powder):

My dad uses Sodium Sufite to cure salmon eggs for bait (not to eat). When he ran out he went all over town, but digital has led to every local photo outfit not carrying chemicals anymore (or going out of business). Since I had a b&w darkroom 20 years ago he asked me if I could find it. So of course I ordered from B&H[...] I don't know if using sodium sulfite to cure bait is common practice in the lower 48, but let me tell you it works great. It gives salmon eggs the consistency of firm gumdrops. Dad says this Edwal Sodium sulfite is the best he's used, he thinks it works better because the granules are finer than with other products. But that's just a theory, either way it works best. I am making another purchase from B&H this afternoon and recommend them as my first choice for internet photography shopping to anyone who asks (I'm the photo hobbyist in the family).
