Elinchrom 4 Leaf Barndoor Set for Elinchrom 8-1/4" Reflector
This 4 leaf barndoor set is specifically design for use on the Elinchrom 8-1/4" reflector.
Barndoors, Snoots, Grids, and Filters are essential accessories for any lighting system. These devices alter the shape, intensity, or color of the light output from your flash heads. Consider them as a painter would a brush, or a sculptor would a knife, or chisel.
Use of a barndoor set will result in a shaft of light, when it is attached to the front of the reflector of your light source. The size of the shaft of light will be determined by the opening of the leaves, and the distance of the light from the subject. Rotating the barndoor set will determine the angle of the shaft of light. A 4-leaf barndoor provides more light control than a 2-leaf barndoor set.
- All Elinchrom barndoors are hinged and manufactured with a heat resistant, non reflective black finish.
- It can be fitted to the side of an Accessory Holder (26034 or 26035), the R heads, Box Lite, the Square Reflector and the S35 Spotlite.

I thought this kit was overpriced when looking at other kits that would work with Elinchrom lights. What I did not know is how exceptional the build quality was and once I held them; then I knew it was going to the last barn door set I was going to buy for a while.
Just note if you buy the Elinchrom D-Lite-4 IT 400Ws 2-Light To Go Set it does not come with a 8.25 reflector (7 inch only) and you will still need to buy an 8.25 reflector to use the barn door set.
Also buy the Elinchrom Color Filter Set for Elinchrom 8-1/4" Accessory Holder, 10 Sheets when you buy this they work great and the quality of those sheets are good too.

I use this with the 'Elinchrom Style 500 BXRi Compact MonoLight (90-260VAC)' and 'Standard Reflector, 8.25", for Elinchrom'. It mounts solidly, has different sized doors, and also black/silver surfaces.
No problems or complaints.
