A slightly frosted replacement glass dome that covers and protects the Elinchrom flash tube. Fits all Elinchrom flash heads.

This does what it is supposed to do. It slightly diffuses the light and protects the flash tube and modelling lamp from contact with anything.
Of course you will be restricted to using non-Elinchrom umbrellas with this product as the glass dome covers the hole for Elinchrom umbrellas. What is also irritating is the fact that some reflectors will not fit on the head once this is in place. The 7" grid reflector will not attach once this is in place. Neither will a Speedotron dish (a popular mod). The Elinchrom sports reflector and 90 degree umbrella reflectors work just fine with this in place.

But you cannot use the deflector when this is in place.
