Ilford Multigrade Developer is a liquid concentrate print developer suitable for dish or tray developing of all black and white photographic papers such as resin coated (RC) and traditional fiber based (FB). It is a dimezones/hydroquinone derivative. As opposed to Ilford PQ developer which generates a warm tone, this developer is characterized by a neutral tone.
Multigrade developer is a rapid working developer usually used at a dilution of 1+9 but for greater development control and economy it can be used at 1+14. Multigrade developer is clean working and features excellent keeping properties.
It should be noted that Ilford recommends that gloves, eye protection, apron or overall be worn when handling and mixing all chemicals.
Observação! PQ Universal is NOT recommended for processing general purpose 35mm and roll film formats or for high temperature or machine processing applications

Comments about Ilford Multigrade Developer (500ml):
Use at somewhere around 1/12 and get great results. Love the convenience of mix as you need it. Hadn't considered how much would be needed to adequately fill an 11x14 tray so will be ordering more soon.

Comments about Ilford Multigrade Developer (500ml):
I am an art teacher, and I've been teaching photography for about 4 years. I always get Ilford chemicals, and I have never had a problem them. As long as they are refrigerated, they last long and provide nice, predictable results.

Comments about Ilford Multigrade Developer (500ml):
I use this product when making black and white prints. It mixes up well, stores well, and is all around great. It feels a little bit slow, but I'm sure that's just a side effect of the low temperature in my work space. I would, and will, use this product again and I would, and will, recommend it to anyone.

Comments about Ilford Multigrade Developer (500ml):
I use Multigrade paper developer for boxed paper emulsions (primarily Ilford, but I also have some old Kodak stock) and also Liquid Light paper that I coat myself. It gives beautiful tones with boxed paper and also works well with development controls used with graded emulsions.
It has a good long working life and can be used in a variety of dilutions.
