Comments about Gitzo G-1504 Tele Studex Giant Performance Aluminum Tripod Legs (Without Column) - Supports 33.00 lb (14.97 kg):
At first I didn't believe the quality of Gitzo was all that incredible. Since this is my first tripod, I was a bit hesitant spending so much money, but now that I use it for all my photo taking experiences I'm glad that I chose Gitzo. It is a bit heavy, but the ideal of it being sturdy gives me a tremendous relief that my photos will come out as perfect as possible. As far as how I use it, I take plenty of landscape photos and tons of football and volleyball pictures of my students. I have yet have to worry about keeping the camera steady.
I would defiantly recommend this product to any of my friends who are about to invest in photography equipment.

I have had this tripod with a crank column and R-2 head for 35 years and the 12' height paid for the price the first time I used it. There is nothing sturdier than this Gitzo, from the studio to mountains in Alaska I wouldn't put my cameras on anything else!!

Lives up to the Gitzo name! Wonderful engineering with smooth fit and finish. I use this on location shooting tethered. No worries about movement or out of registration images with multiple exposures. Just don't let it fall on anyone!
