Comments about Motorola Earbud with PTT Microphone for 2 Way Radios:
My wife and I use Talkabout radios all the time. Wherever we go, airport, museum, shopping mall, city streets anywhere in the world, within a few minutes we've each gone in a different direction - me to the architecture, she to the food - and we need some technology to find each other again. Gone are the days of arguing about who was late to the time and place of meeting. Whoever was late had fun and the other steamed away, trapped by being on time. Now we use cell phones as a backup, especially when roaming far from home, but we stay in touch minute by minute by radio. We've found them to be pretty functional even in Manhattan - occasionally connecting a mile away in the steel jungle. So now the PTT mic - Visiting Manhattan this spring, I made the pilgrimage to B&H to pick up a throat mic to wear on the street and didn't find one, so I picked up one of these inexpensive earbud mics and found it to work just fine - volume and clarity was good on the noisy street and the PTT was easy enough to use.I'm still shopping for a reasonably priced and good quality throat mic, but they're hard to test prior to purchase. So until then, I'll happily use this, it's simple and functional and I'd recommend it as good value for the money.
