Used this to clean a VHS player. It did seem to improve playback quality. But not sure how it will work over time. The instructions say to:
"Play for 30 sec and then stop and eject. When the tape reaches the end rewind to the beginning."
Well the cleaning tape is only 30 sec long. So for multiple cleanings you're basically using the same piece of cleaning media. So time will tell if it continues to clean.

I went back to my other head cleaner that uses a cleaning solution. This one messed up the head alignment, but it corrected after I used the old head cleaner again.

i AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT. IT DID A GREAT JOB ON MY 4 YEAR OLD LG VCR. I CHECKED THROUGH OUT MINNEAPOLIS FOR A HEAD CLEANER FOR MY VCR BUT WAS TOLD BY MOST STORES, THAT THEY WERE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. I am starting big project to convert many very old VHS tapes to DVD. This cleaner makes sure I'll get the best possible output from the VHS player. "God is in the details." Cleaning the tape-player heads makes so much sense when spending lots of time and money on this project.

Ordered 3 0f this cleaner because it appears that VCR Cleaner Cassettes are not being carried at many retailers any longer. Have used it in the past and found it to be very satisfactory. I have many VCR tapes that I hope to continue to view for several more years.

I have been using this to regularly clean an old VHS as I transfer the tapes through a great Panasonic DVD recorder. Can't say for sure that it's doing much, but it's better than not doing anything, I'm sure.
