Comments about Falcon (Marshall) Personal-Size Paper Cutter:
I needed perfectly straight edges for my photographs and the glowing reviews on this item made me think I'd found something special. Not so. Cuts are well...meh. Returned it and bought a nice Fiskars bamboo based guillotine cutter. It did cost about 3 times the price but I couldn't be happier. From anecdotes and my own experience I am now of the opinion that guillotine cutters outperform these various sliding cutters by a fair margin.

Comments about Falcon (Marshall) Personal-Size Paper Cutter:
I needed a paper cutter to cut apart pages of a newsletter prior to scanning. An earlier cutter worked fine, but the blade became dull & I could not locate a replacement for any reasonable price. I purchased the Marshall cutter primarily because it was (1) Inexpensive, and (2) Uses inexpensive razor blades. The unit itself is lightweight plastic and is not too stable when being used. However, the cutter bar DOES hold the paper in place during the actual cutting. It takes a little experimenting to determine exactly where the paper will be cut, but once determined the cutter seems very accurate. Initially the cutter movement felt a bit rough, but a little silicone spray made a big difference. Overall, I would recommend this item for light-duty use.

Comments about Falcon (Marshall) Personal-Size Paper Cutter:
This is the best papercutter that has ever been designed. Since it uses disposable razor blades you are always able to have a clean sharp edge. The cutter has everything going for it: accurate cutting, light weight, inexpensive razor blades plus a small form factor that can be stored anywhere.

Comments about Falcon (Marshall) Personal-Size Paper Cutter:
I've used the guillotine type cutter as well as a a'drag blade" type cutter. I had serious issues with both types. This razor blade cutter is simply the best so far. Unlike the others you can line up any line on your project, even if it don't come to the edges of the paper, and get a perfect cut every time.
The instructions say to hold down the paper with your hand, but I simply hold it firm by applying pressure to the end on the guide bar.

Comments about Falcon (Marshall) Personal-Size Paper Cutter:
This paper cutter has successfully served my pretty busy schools for 25 years... I've used it for photocopied material (both plain-80g/m² paper and 160gr/m²)as well as photos, magazines and even for alluminum covered cardboard. It was my secretary's best friend until I broke it down last May trying to cut 5 160 gr/m² reports in one go. I hope my secretary lives longer than the new Falcons I bought her.
To me It's a Cheap, durable if you respect its limitations (Don't cut more than 3 sheets of 160gr/m² paper in one pass), easy to use, productive and without a doubt an IRREPLACABLE paper cutter that every office MUST HAVE.
I bought 4 Falcons. 2 for my schools and 2 to give to good friends of mine.
Congratulations to its designers and Manufacturers.

This inexpensive cutter is easy to use and great for cutting laminate, photos, paper and even thick card stock. It does what it's supposed to do.
