Comments about Photogenic PG4001ML Studio-Max 150 Watt/Second Monolight:
I've used this brand of strobe for years now and in a small studio like mine they're great. They're best used as fill lights or to illuminate your backdrops, but they also work fine for single portraits and high contrast Art Print work.

Comments about Photogenic PG4001ML Studio-Max 150 Watt/Second Monolight:
Used in the studio lightly and performed well. Used as a hair light only. After one year of use the strobe failed. Under 3 year warrante and is covered. Would try again. Great as a hair light.

Comments about Photogenic PG4001ML Studio-Max 150 Watt/Second Monolight:
I have a 2 light kit that includes 30" silver umbrellas and 6' light stands and have added 36" white umbrellas. Typical uses are; interior shots, family and individual portraits and small social gatherings.
Units are lightweight and the built in slave function works very well, even better in some situations than the slave function built into my Norman units. They work well when paired with Pocket Wizards and recycle times are reasonable. Going on 4 years of occasional use still no percieved color shift or other change in perfomance except that stripping the threading for one of the umbrella tightening screws was rather easy to do. Be careful to not over tighten.
