Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox 27 x 27" (69 x 69 cm)
The Elinchrom 27 x 27" (69 x 69 cm) Rotalux Softbox is designed for the exclusive use of Elinchrom flash heads. The featherweight box features a matte-black crinkle exterior with distinctive gray rip-piping and a reflective silver interior. The shoot-through design uses both a removable internal baffle and removable, flush-mounted front face to soften the light.
Another innovative feature which distinguishes Elinchrom softboxes from others is the lightweight dedicated speed-ring, which utilizes knurled, spring-action sockets to connect the four stainless rods which form the frame of the box, to the ring. This allows easy assembly of the box in a de-tensioned state. The user then simply pivots the sockets 90 degrees until they lock into place to tension it for use. As a further convenience Elinchrom provides a durable, dot-patterned nylon case with a flat bottom designed to hold the de-tensioned Rotalux without dissembling it.
The square 27 x 27" (69 x 69 cm) shape is ideal for portraiture or for use as a fill light.

EASY ASSEMBLY, MATERIAL EXCELLENT QUALITY, COMES WITH A CASE THAT DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE PHOTO BUT THAT FACILITATE A QUICK SHIPPING AND ASSEMBLY. I RECOMMEND, AS WELL AS ALL BRAND Elinchrom. IS RECOMMENDED TO USE A hooded DIFUSER, SOLD SEPARATELY.

My 3 flashes (strobes) are Genesis 200 w/s. They are advertised as (speedring)compatible with Elinchrom. So, I purchased the 39" Octa Lite Softbox which comes with the speedring adapter for Elinchrom flashes only. Yes, the included speedring works perfectly with my Genesis. I use the Octa Softbox for my key light. It replaced my umbrella. Then, I purchased this 27" square soft box for my fill light. The softbox is of excellent quality and yes, the speedring is totally compatible with my non-Elinchrom strobes. I use these two soft boxes for portraits of my grandsons. Set up is very easy on this 27" and, believe it or not, breakdown just a tad more difficult but still, easy. Elinchrom is the way to go. You could get cheaper but nowhere near the build quality of Elinchrom.So that the fabric does not tear and rods break, you must go with quality with soft boxes. BTW, the soft light they produce for portraits exceed umbrellas any day. Set up and dismantling now is relatively easy and the soft boxes store away nicely in the included compact carrying cases. I'm very happy the price also included the speedring.

I use this product in my studio for portrait photography, Well constructed, excellent quality, lightweight speed ring, easy to assemble and I like the way the diffuser attaches to the shell. Easy to install on the Elinchrom Pro RX STYLE lights with new and improved locking ring.
