Elinchrom Rotalux Softbox for Flash Only - 14x35" (35x89cm)
The 14x35" Rotalux Strip Softbox is designed for use with a strobe. With fabric not intended for the heat of a continuous light, the 14x35" Rotalux Strip comes standard with a white interior and a flush front face. The flush mounted front face provides a wider spread of light than a box with a recessed front. It may be used as side light without as much wrap around as a conventional rectangular softbox.
- The 14x35" Rotalux Strip Softbox is the right size for 3/4 length portraits of children. It may also be used for medium still life applications as well.

I have Elinchrom 500 BXRi strobes and this strip bank connects easily to them. This strip bank has a silver reflective lining and 2 diffusers...an inner one and outer one...if you really need the extra soft light for your situation. It's great as a back light or hair light to help capture sharp/clean edges. I've put together several softboxes and this one is sturdy and no more difficult than other square/rectangular versions. In fact, it's a breeze compared to octa banks...now those are really hard. :)

This softbox offers a wonderful quality of light. My only complaint is that when they are new the assembly is quite a challenge. I am assuming that it will loosen up with use. It's not enough of a complaint to lose a star off the rating.

Used as stip and hair light. Even lighting and build quality is typical of Elinchrom softboxes-high quality. I would have given 5 stars but it is a little tricky to assemble. Once put together it collapses and travels well.
