Yamaha BC3A - Breath Controller for MIDI Keyboards
Pitch, modulation wheels, even ribbon controllers are used to give extra life to performances from sound generating electronic devices. Yamaha's BC3A goes one step further by using "breath" as an modulator. For synthesizers that specialize in wind emulation, such as Yamaha's own VL70m, this controller is an indispensable extra, particularily for wind players, giving authenticity to a brass or woodwind performance that is almost impossible to copy using standard controllers

This is my 2nd breath controller. The first one was broken. I use it with my Yamaha Motif ES with a PLG150-VL plug in board. This breath controller is easy to use. One thing it is very easy to be broken at the contact between the base and the valve (tube). My friend broke them twice.
