Pocket Wizard Motor Drive Cords connect to the camera's remote cable socket, and enable your Pocket Wizard radio slave SET to trigger the camera's shutter remotely.
This pre-trigger cable is designed to keep the camera constantly "awake", and has the same effect as holding the camera's trigger button pressed down half-way.
A camera will trigger much faster in the "awake" mode, but will also use up more battery power. However, the pre-trigger mode can be switched on or off from the cable itself.
This cable is 3' long, and will trigger all Nikon 10-pin DSLR's, and Fuji Finepix S3, N90, N90S, F100, F5 film cameras.
For this cable without the pre-trigger feature, order #804-503.

This is a great tool for firing your camera from a distance. You'll need two Pocket Wizards, one in your hand and another attached to the camera via this cord. Click the one in your hand and the camera fires — and you can fire the camera from a quarter of a mile away!
If you want the camera to set off some off-camera flashes that are controlled by Pocket Wizards you'll need one extra Pocket Wizard on the camera. So you'll have one PW in your hand to set off the PW that's attached via this cord to the camera. Then you'll need another PW plugged into the camera hot shoe or PC connection to fire off the remote flashes plus a PW for each off-camera flash.
Remember to set your Pocket Wizards to different channels. For instance, set the PW in your hand and the one that fires the camera via this cord to channel 1. Then set the PW in the hot shoe on the camera and all the PWs attached to the remote flashes to channel 2. When you press the button on the PW in your hand, the camera immediately fires. The camera firing signals the PW in the hot shoe to send a signal to the PWs attached to the off-camera flashes to fire.
Anyway, a great tool for those times when you need to fire your camera remotely!

I think it's overpriced but it works.
Too bad Nikon has to use a proprietary/hard to find connector.

This remote cable won't work with the new Nikon FlexTT5. You need to find Pocketwizard #802-452. I had to return this one to B&H and pick up the above cable. But because I think Pocketwizard products are the best...I will give it the highest rating.

I do mostly nature/wildlife photography. I am able to set my camera in a conceiled location and secure myself a fair distance away. The ability to keep the camera awake with the N90M3-P Pre-Trigger Control is a definite advantage under these circumstances. It also functions well as "cable release" (I date myself) to maintain camera stability. I recomend it highly.

I use this cord to fire my D300 from behind the backboard at basketball games. I need a cord that is dependable and can be trusted to stay attached. This is a cord that does that. My old remote trigger would sometimes cut out on me. I guess it is worth the extra price to get exactly what you want in a picture.

I was torn between the standard cord or the pre-trigger. I'm glad that I got the pre-trigger. The response time from the camera is much better and there are no lost shots.

This cable works well.... I bought it to replace the cheap one that I bought for twenty bucks....that one only lasted two months. The PocketWizard cable has a metal thumbscrew that holds the ten pen connector on the camera & is nice. Its a little on the pricey side.

This cord works as advertised. I was able to trigger my D300 using a Pocket Wizard Plus II quite nicely.
I think the price they ask for this is ridiculous, but I paid it because I wanted to be sure I got what I needed on the first try.
I found (and this could be a lack of knowledge on my part) that the camera did not auto-focus unless I used the cord in "pre-trigger" mode. As I think of it now, that may be a simple setting that needs to be changed in the camera to force focus before allowing shutter release.
So, it's great, but pricey.

This is used with Pocket Wizard to trigger Nikon DSLR's. No problems experienced, but construction is slightly less than I would have expected. All in all still very happy with the purchase.

I use this product to trigger remote cameras for wedding coverage. Haven't had a single problem with it yet. It's Pocket-Wizard. Who has ever had a problem with a Pocket-Wizard? It's the only way to go for critical triggering.

Works as expected. Note, get the AC adapter also since this cable will probably suck power.
