This is a flexible gobo clamp arm that mounts into the camera's flash shoe. Can be used to hold a reflector, sun shade, backgrounds, or filters in any position. Ten inches long, with removable snap segments, and spring clip. Includes two high-key white and two low-key black vignettes, three black flags, two Flexiglass mirrors, and an 18% grey card.

I need to suspend mounted solar film in front of the lens so that a solar eclipse may be photographed. I was about to make something to do this, and while hunting down something to adapter off of the hot shoe, I found this arm [...]It's perfect. It is long enough to hit the front of of a 28-300mm zoom on my Nikon D50. Some camera/lens combinations will need segments added from the optional extension kit, so it's a good idea to buy both from the start. The masks included are an added bonus.

This did not fit into my D80 hot shoe right out of the package. The base plate portion would fit if the first Gemini capsule shaped thing attached to the base plate was a little narrower. So I took a wood saw to it and cut off just enough to allow the base plate and capsule to slide into the hot shoe. Took all of 1 minute to do. It fits great now.
