I use the 1650 for transporting all my SCUBA gear. As a instructor come in handy because you never know what the condition bring and not having to worry about some of my equipment being damaged if tanks come free or people not pay attention. It great knowing that my investments of safe.

I purchased 3-of these cases for our network installation team. We're able to place an array of 12-(9x6")small boxes on end which contain 4-different sizes of CAT6 cables in 3-different colors. Everything stays neat and organized and the case travels well through FedEx. Where as the original double-walled cardboard box could only withstand a few trips before needing replacement. The case is probably overkill for this purpose, but it is also very convenient to move around the work-site using the roll-along handle and wheels. It also projects a professional image to our clients. And finally it is a real time saver when the job is finished and we don't have to bother with packing tape while rushed to catch our flight.

I'm a wedding photographer and I use this case for my gear. I had a smaller pelican case that could only fit the bare essentials. Now with the 1650 I can store 3 camera bodies, multiple lenses, camera accessories,multiple strobes and even a studio light. Its convenient to have everything fit in to one case because I find myself constantly on the move without an extra set of hands and making a second trip back to the car takes time. The wheels provide a lot of assistance as well but after having the case completely loaded it can weigh around 80 lbs which can be a challenge lifting in to your automobile. Over all I'm happy about this purchase knowing my equipment is protected and in addition to all the benefits I mentioned before.

We used this to protect some heavy but easily damaged samples for a tradeshow in Europe. Everything arrived safe and sound! We made our own foam insert using our foam in place equipment and made it to fit 4 very different samples easily. The locks are positive and easy to tape over to avoid accidental opening. The wheels and handle make it a breeze to carry in or use as a dolly to carry the rest of the booth in on!!

This case is all it says and more the only con is its weight for airline travel if you have to pay extra for luggage over 50 pounds ( easy with scuba equiptment)$50.00 each way on Contential air.
But the Pro is it is bullet proof in protection of expensive scuba gear!!!!
Last trip $3,500.00 worth of gear safe and sound!!
The wheels are an A+++++ alos built like a tank.

I added the padded insert system instead of getting the foam only because I use this for storing photography gear. I had one of these with the foam for video gear and it was perfect. This is a high quality piece of gear and it will last a lifetime. I have a 1600 case since 1995 and it is still working like new.

I lug a lot of camera around the world and Pelican cases have always held up to the beatings they take. I love the Pelican 1650 since I can load a good amount of gear inside and not worry at all. I originally bought the Pelican 1650 when the new model came out about 3 years ago and Pelican has really made some nice changes to the case, especially trimming some weight off of it. I currently own 3 Pelican cases and I love them all.
