The MDR-7505 from Sony is an on-ear closed back professional stereo headphone designed to meet the needs of professional musicians, broadcasters and DJ's on a budget. The headphone features swivel earcups that allows flexible positioning and off-ear monitoring suitable for live sound engineers and DJ's.

I use the product for movies, music and whenever I can't use loud speakers, and these work great!
-> great sound, comfortable on the ears if a bit tight, very sturdy
cons: very heavy and long cable that will annoy you most of the time, but since these should be used for music production and not portability guess I can't berate them too much

I use these headphones to monitor audio and video recordings and editing projects. They fit well around the ears and the audio quality is pretty good. Solid construction and the cord is pleanty long enough for me. I wear glasses and they get tight after a while but I have not found a pair of over/on the ear headphones that don't. My iPod sounds great through them!

These are the best headphones I have ever owned. The sound is as good as the bigger MDR-7506's, but the unit is a bit smaller and fits my head nicer. They also stay on better if I shake my head. They are a little easier to travel with than larger monitors. The band is rubber coated and overall they seem pretty durable. I've had mine for 6 years and they still feel and sound great and look new.
