This camera shoulder strap makes a great upgrade for any Canon camcorder. I recently purchased a HF S11 and bought the strap at the same time. The camcorder does not come with a shoulder strap. There are no instructions related to adding a should strap with the package, but it is fairly easy to figure out.
The advantage to using a shoulder strap is significant. Besides being able to carry the camcorder hands free on your shoulder, the shoulder strap around your neck serves as a stabilization sling when filming. You will be very surprised at how steady you can hold your camcorder when using this shoulder strap to sling the unit. I think this shoulder strap is a must purchase item. You will be happy with it.
