This lens replaces the AF235 II in Tokina's quality middle line of AF series lenses. Constructed with high refraction, low dispersion glass, its multicoated lens elements are produced by Hoya Corporation-the world's largest manufacturer of optical glass. While the same mechanically as the AF235 II, the AF193's barrel is made from polycarbonate to reduce the overall weight of the lens.

Comments about Tokina Zoom Super W/A 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 AF193 AF Lens:
I have not had many chances to utilize this new lens, but when used it has been a very pleasant surprise. I wanted to make a minimal investment but get a quality wide angle lens - this is it!

Comments about Tokina Zoom Super W/A 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 AF193 AF Lens:
Just got this lens a couple of weeks ago for use on my Alpha a900. The first thing that struck me was how light this lens is. Almost negligible when mounted on the a900. The next things was the really wide angle of view. Through the a900's viewfinder it looked like a true panorama. This lens is sharp...to me by any standards. Yes it get soft at the edges but guess what..so does the mighty Zeiss. Lovely colours and new perspective to shooting

Comments about Tokina Zoom Super W/A 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 AF193 AF Lens:
I used this with slides and was impressed. Not a Canon L but for the price, pretty good. Barrel distortion at 19 but essentially gone by 35. Not for buildings at the 19mm setting. Good color and satuation on the slides. Lightweight so it is good for hiking. I have this attached to a Maxxum 5 for lightweight hiking.

Comments about Tokina Zoom Super W/A 19-35mm f/3.5-4.5 AF193 AF Lens:
I haven't used the lens/hood enough to write a proper review, but so far so good. I think it is an excellent range (19-35) and feel it is as wide as I would desire (and because it goes to 35mm that makes it a much more practical lens than many fisheyes). I think it was a smart buy for the price, but haven't used it enough to write an honest review.

Suprising sharp for the price.
The negative would be no lens hood and 77mm size.
