Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
This Film Is Amazing.I don't know what I ever saw in 400TX that made me originally choice it over Neopan. The film is everything I've wanted in a black and white film. I've been using it at my personal default of ISO 1600 in XTOL and grain is not even a factor with this film. The blacks are perfectly deep like TMax 100 film and the contrast is exactly where I need it to be. I love this stuff! My only problem is that I can't shoot enough of it.

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
I used it with a Holga. The grain and detail is good. The Holga doesn't really let the film do its best, but I can't complain at all.

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
I use Neopan 400 in documentary work in a Mamiya 7. I use it just like a 35mm rangefinder, hand held. But I get better prints from the bigger neg.
Neopan 400 makes prints that look just the same as HP5 or Tri-X. It exposes the same, develops the same. It's primary advantage is that is costs less.
I have shot several thousand rolls of Neopan 400 in both 35mm and 120. Never found a problem with the film. It always works the same.
Everything I shoot is with this film. No slower b&w films. No color film. No digital. This does it all for me.
It all comes down to price. Shoot the lowest cost film if you cannot tell any difference.

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
I used the Neopan 400 in a Brownie Hawkeye. A slight mod to the camera itself and I was able to shoot 120 in a camera designed for 620 WITHOUT RESPOOLING OR CUTTING THE SPOOL! Typically people respool 120 onto a 620 spool, not this film.
Great shots right out of the wrapper, nice grain and clarity wonderful for just such an experiment. Worked so well I'll use nothing else in the Brownie.
Had to really bump up the dpi in the scanner to get these shots into Elements 6. The results were exceptional.
Next up...the 95a hack...and I'll use Neopan in that as well!

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
I love the tone and grain of this film. The latitude that I get from this emulsion is wonderful. I've pushed and pulled this film in all kinds of directions and haven't been disappointed with the results. The consistency of grain and the feel of this film is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

I have long used Fuji color films but was unsure of their B & W offerings. This film (and its 35mm counterpart) destroyed any doubts I had. Wonderful tonal range, superior sharpeness, and enlarges beautifully. Great results with even the simplest cameras like the Holga 120.

I started out in B&W using mainly Kodak and Ilford print films. I recently started using Neopan and found that I love the results, especially for the price. You really can't beat it!

I was given a Holga by a dear friend and really started getting into b&w photography. So much is lost to digital, it's nice to get your hands on real black and white film...loading the film makes you feel like a photographer! The Neopan-400 delivers crisp photos with nice gradation. Good stuff, great price. Thanks!

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
Neopan 400 is a very fine grained film with beautiful and consistent results. I use it to travel with mostly and have never had a problem, particularly as i travel mainly in East Asia in the summer time which can get up to 90% humidity. It keeps quite well with a little care and a film shield bag.
I highly recommend this film and it's 35mm counterpart. Cheaper than Tri-X with just as nice results. I think this film is a little more versatile too. Very sharp and polished to richly layered and romantic. It does it all!

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
I find that Neopan 400 offers its own set of characteristics that make it a great film, right up there with Ilford's and Kodak's classic medium speed emulsions.
With my style of metering and development I find that it has very fine and "well packed" grain. Almost like a middle ground between a classic emulsion and a modern emulsion. It also has a very wonderful tonality thats well kept with the films grain.
(I like to overexpose and reduce development accordingly)
Another thing that impresses me with this film is how flat and uncurled it becomes after drying. Of course there is a slight curl but it is the flattest film Ive experienced.
Fuji films also have a quickload system for their medium format films, the spools have a tab in the middle that catches onto a hole in the film leader. As the name implies it does speed film loading a bit.
Its a great film, ever since my first roll it has become my primary and favorite to use.

Comments about Fujifilm Neopan-400 120 Professional Black & White Print Film:
Fuji Neopan 400 in 35 and 120 are the b/w films I use most often. I rate the film at 400 and develop in D-76 1:1 and 1:3 and love the results. Currently I'm printing to 12x18 for 35mm and 15x15 for 120. Though grain is present, it is uniform, and in this digital age, I appreciate it for what it is.
