Hama Sync Cord - Monoplug to Male PC, Straight - 16'
This 16.5' sync cord provides the necessary connection between a power pack or monolight that has a 1/4" phono plug socket, and a camera, or triggering device that has a female PC (post connection) terminal.
Straight cords are lighter, and usually more economical than coiled cords; coiled cords stretch when necessary, and are more heavy duty than straight cords.
Premium sync cords have gold-plated ends, for longer lasting sure connections.
Some units this items will function with are by: Photogenic, Speedotron, Profoto, SP Excalibur, and Hensel.

This Cord is excellent and I got it in 2 days after placing my order. Being yellow keeps everyone from walking and tripping on it in the studio.I ordered a second as a spare.

Cord works fine for a while, but there is an internal break in the signal by the PC end after a short time of use. I have been through two of these in just the last six months, and I treated them gently. Both just simply quit working. With some jiggling at the PC end, I got a few more shots out of it, but both cords seemed to stop working with no particular reason.

I purchased this cord 2 years ago for occasional use. I predominantly photograph high school senior portraits on location, so my use of strobes over the last 2-3 years was limited. While the cord and connectors felt far more sturdy and well manufactured than sync cords I have used in the past, it stopped working almost 2 years to the date I had purchased it and after about 25-30 uses.
While it worked, it worked very well. I liked the bright yellow design as it made it far more visible and helped to avoid having it trampled.
I do not believe my use of it was unusual or abusive, so I am disappointed with the longevity.
