The JL-2PLUS is a compact, two-channel, sequential multi-chemistry fast charger with a built-in 60W power supply. Up to two NP-Style batteries can be charged in approximately 3 hours.
- Portability
- The JL-2PLUS offers a lightweight design (3.3 lbs) with a convenient built-in handle.
- NP-Style Mount
- The JL-2PLUS is designed to directly charge NP-Style batteries. Since the NP-Style mount is one of the most common battery mounts on broadcast and professional camcorders, IDX has adopted the design to help fit that need.

An LED condition indicator is offers a quick glance of each battery's charge status.

Any combination of battery chemistries can be automatically charged with the JL-2PLUS.

- Power Supply
- A standard 4-Pin Canon type connector is available on the front panel to provide 60 watts of DC power via the built-in power supply.
- Worldwide AC Power
- As with all IDX chargers, the JL-2PLUS's power switch is recessed to prevent an accidental loss of power. A worldwide, auto-sensing AC power (AC 100-240V) operation is standard.

I have an old Sony charger and thought I would not find one of the same quality. This unit surpasses the Sony in my mind. Just put your batteries on it and forget it. I also like the fact that if you connect the power cable, the charger stops doing the battery and focuses on the power cable.

Bought this charger after my old Anton Bauer NP charger died. Wish it had 4 positions like my previous charger, but this IDX unit charges the batteries quickly. Having an AC charger built into the unit is a bonus. Balked a bit at the cost, but now that I have the unit, it's worth it to know my batteries are properly charged.

Use this with my Sony Betacam Camcorders - for NP batteries.
Works great on my old Ni-Cads AND on my new super light Lithium batteries too.
It also has enough power to drive the more power hungry camcorders like my D30/PVV3 combo directly.

I'm an audio mixer and use NP-1 style batts in my mixer. This charger seems to do the job well of keeping my batteries charged. The indicaor lights that signal a battery is fully charged is helpful.
