I bought this tripod to videotape weddings and special events. The center column is great for cranking up high for dances like the Hora and Tarentella etc.The pan is not as smooth as the 3192 but I put my weight into it and it's just fine. If it had a crawl ball on top for quick leveling it would be even better.
