This Voigtlander adapter allows a Leica-type screw mount lens (39mm) to be mounted onto an "M" type camera, and will also bring up the matching frame-lines when used with either a 35mm or 135mm lens. Supplied with a mounting wrench.

I bought this item to adapt my 35mm f3.5 Summaron LTM lens to M-Mount. What I did not realize is that this mount is not designed to allow lenses that have an infinity lock to focus and lock at infinity, as the adapter itself gets in the way.
The build quality and finish of the item are great, so I modified the adapter to allow for the proper travel rather than send it back.

I bought this to use a 35mm Voigtlander screw mount (39mm) lens I already have on a Leica M9.
The adapter brings up the correct bright lines in the viewfinder automatically. However it doesn't include 6 bit coding for automatic lens detection (this has to be selected manually on the camera menu).
The machining on the adapter looks fine, however its a tight fit compared to mounting/removing the Leica lenses.
If you have some 39mm screw mount lenses already and want to use them on an M-mount camera, these are worth buying.
However for ultra wides on an M9, Leica glass works a lot better with no colour shift problems, faster glass, and more expensive of course =).

I bought a cheap adapter online at another website before I bought this one from B&H, and it did not attach firmly with my Leica M6. Therefore, I have to buy the voigtlander adapter. At [$] bucks, it is not cheap, but it attaches firmly to my camera, and the focus is sharp. You get what you paid for...
