The Califone PA-282AV is an inexpensive, battery or DC-powered, 2-Watt portable personal P.A. speaker, equipped with a belt clip and a headset microphone. The unit is suitable for use as a personal monitor speaker in the field with a camcorder or audio recording device, or as a miniature P.A. solution for tour and museum guides, reaching up to 25 persons.

using the product to amplify voice in a shooting range, to call matches. works fine. the headset can fit around your neck, rather than over your head, which keeps you from getting headaches. nice!

My wife has a quiet voice, but loves working with groups of children, including at church. This little device lets her be heard by all the children without her needing to yell at the top of her lungs. It does exactly what I was hoping for.

I love this product for 1 1/2 hour walking tours with small groups in Phila (7 to 15 people). It is compact, light weight and produces just the right volume. It really saves my voice. Plus B&H sells it at a great price. The one design flaw the other female tour guides and I found is that the headset is just a little too big for our heads. We hold it on w/headbands or hair clips. Be sure to charge the battery for 8 hrs per the instructions. The battery light stays red even when charged.

We ordered these units to be used by tour guides at a grand opening of our new production facility. Voice amplification is clear and undistorted. The design is comfortable. We used these units for tour groups of up to 25 without any concerns for being heard. The units use rechargeable batteries that are powered up by AC plugs.
