It makes the thing soooo much more stable. Would be 5 stars but it's very stiff and takes some effort to move it. Gets a bit better as it is used.

I bought this foot to provide enhanced support to a 7D + 300/2.8 combo when mounted on a Gitzo CF monopod. I have previously experienced that the monopod would sag into loose sand and I'd have to adjust my pose. Initial solution was to fit a tennis ball to the 'pod.. but that's a bit like fitting a roof carrier on a Rolls. The foot diameter measures 60mm / 2.4" and can pivot to allow for 'pod movement. Being made by the same crafty Italian whom assembles all those silky smooth tripods, this simple item really does round off my monopod exactly as intended. No 'but'.
