Comments about Gitzo G1410.130 All Terrain Shoe:

Installed this foot on the Gitzo 5541 monopod. Makes for a steady platform on most ground conditions and because of its diameter, allows for steading with your foot. Highly Recommended.

Comments about Gitzo G1410.130 All Terrain Shoe:

There really isn't much to write about this replacement foot. This is a basic disk foot that replaces the stock rubber foot shipped with Gitzo monopods. The disk gives you more surface area to work with so your monopod is more stable and less prone to sink. [tho it still will, the disk is only about 4-5 inches across but definatey more surface area than a 3/4" rubber foot]

Foot screws in securely to the bottom of the monopod. Recommend using a few drops of LocTite so it doesn't work its way loose while in the field since it is, after all, screw in. Foot pivots to conform to ground angles and has a little notch on one side to [mostly] fold flat against the monopod.

Comments about Gitzo G1410.130 All Terrain Shoe:

I used this to replace the stock foot on my Gitzo 5561T Monopod and was pleased in the improved stability it provided for my Canon 500MM f/4.0L IS USM Lens. I have to take off one star though because on my 3rd day of using this with the monopod strapped to my belt with it's provided strap the foot came loose, fell off, and was lost. Now, knowing how much better it is than the stock foot I have to buy another Big Foot.

I recommend using teflon tape or loctite on the threading before you tighten this to your monopod to ensure the same thing doesn't happen to you.
